The Widder Hotel could almost be a hamlet of a hotel. Eight historical former residences, many dating back to the Middle Ages, have been joined together to create an unusual hotel collaboration. The 42 rooms and 7 suites have emerged from this charming, luxurious labyrinth of a hotel one that many proclaim the best in all of Switzerland. The sensitive architecture seamlessly links historical materials with present-day structures, construction methods, sharp details and an innovative sense of design.


By subtly intermingling single buildings via staircases, porticos and inner courtyards, a feeling of intimacy and exclusive security has been created in the hotel's public spaces. These include the Widder Restaurant, the Turmstubli, the Wirtschaft zur Schtund, the hotel's magical garden, and the Widder Bar.
