The Villa Beige is a private 5,000 square metre beachfront estate set on a stunning seaside cliff on Thailand’s Koh Samui Island. Surrounded on three sides by tropical jungle, the resort opens on its fourth side directly onto the Gulf of Thailand, whose waters lap against the white sand of its intimate private beach. The idea for the Villa Beige came to its creator over a glass of chardonnay during a vacation spent in a private rented villa in Asia; the Villa Beige concept was born of the inspiring juxtaposition of the two different luxuries – European wine and Asian resort.


Accordingly, the hotel seamlessly introduces traditional European elegance to a tropical environment and climate. Its Mediterranean design and ethos brings a touch of Côte d’Azur flair to palm-filled Koh Samui. The hotel consists of five white modernist boxes playfully interlocked in stunning contrast to the site’s lush tropical greenery and imposing grey cliff rocks. Inside, four light-drenched double rooms can accommodate up to eight adults – two with roof terrace and outdoor bathroom, two with en-suite bathroom and large Bisazza-tiled rain shower. All feature private infinity pools and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the sparkling Gulf waters below. Public spaces include a gym, fully-equipped office space, cocktail lounge, coffee bar, spa treatment area, Bisazza steam sauna and 15 metre travertine pool.

The WiFi-enabled hotel also features an impressive entertainment living room complete with 50-inch plasma TV, stereo surround sound system and DVD/CD collection. Interiors feature a colour scheme of coffee, cream and beige inspired by the earth tones of the surrounding landscape, and the furniture – designed by the owner – is crafted with natural fabrics from around the world, including cord from Korea, snake skin from the USA and velour from France. Meals are prepared according to guest request and served in-villa, seaside or at a beachfront BBQ area offering fresh seafood cooking. Guests can choose from a range of activities including fishing, sailing, boating, scuba diving, wind surfing and mountain biking. An abundance of golf courses, shopping areas and additional dining options are located in the near vicinity.
