Hotel Greulich

With just 18 rooms in a calm residential area of Zurich, Design Hotel Greulich couldn't be anything else but personal. Taking the best from service traditions of the past and design inspiration from the future, it promises to become a favourite for those in the know. The hotel's small, unceremonious entrance is a clue to Hotel Greulich's attitude and approach, leading into the clear, light atmosphere of the restaurant and bar. From here, guests embark on a fascinating journey to their rooms, over warm terrazzo floors, past natural cedarwood walls, and through a central courtyard, where water pools with floating flowers add an unmistakeably Zen touch, emphasised by the gray tones and silky textures of silver birch trees. Guestrooms also show Japanese influences, with minimalist furnishings, restrained colors and a private garden that provides an intimate space for introspection and meditation. And where there's nourishment for the soul, there's nourishment for the body. Hotel Greulich's restaurant is dedicated to "slow food", and only ecological ingredients are used in the production of its healthy, sophisticated dishes.
