Cantre Selyf is a fine grade 2 star listed town house dating from the early 17th Century. One of the most historic properties in Brecon, it occupies a central position, close to St. Mary's Church. Built to a grand design, it still retains many fine original features including moulded ceilings, elegant fireplaces and oak beams.

They have 3 double rooms one of which is a twin bedded room and all rooms have ensuite bathrooms with showers. Comfy beds with crisp cotton bed linen ensure a good night's sleep.

Their bedrooms, accessed via a squeaky wooden staircase, all have their own charm. They are named after characters associated with the history of the area.

The three cantrefs of Brycheiniog, Cantref Selyf, Cantref Einon and Cantref Tewdos were named after the sons of Einon ap Gruffydd ab Elise.

As their house bears Selyf’s name it seemed fitting to use the brothers names to mark the individuality of each room.

The beautiful walled garden is a peaceful haven after a busy day exploring all the delights the area has to offer.

Cantre Selyf offers the best of both worlds. Centrally and conveniently located for shops and restaurants yet quiet and peaceful, away from it all.
