The NBTA Foundation was created in 1997 to support NBTA members and the business travel industry through research and educational programming. The Foundation is funded through two primary sources: long-term partnership commitments and proceeds generated from special events.

With innovative, industry-leading education programs, NBTA equips business travel professionals with the know-how they need to anticipate daily challenges and to navigate successfully through a constantly changing environment. Programs and subject matter for NBTA's wide array of education forums and seminars are carefully selected to match the needs of business travel professionals.

Whether you have one hour to attend a web seminar or can commit to obtaining the CCTE certification, NBTA has an education program for you. NBTA can provide the tools you need to advance your career and become a more valuable and better informed business travel management professional.

NBTA’s Board of Directors serves as the governing body and is responsible for establishing the focus and direction of the Association. The Board consists of fourteen members who include: President & CEO, Vice President, the Immediate Past President, the President and Vice President of the Council of Allied Leadership, the President of the Chapter Presidents’ Council, and five Direct members elected at large, and two Allied members elected at large. The Executive Director & COO serves as an ex-officio member.

NBTA connects the business travel world and promotes the value of business travel management.

Travel costs typically represent a company’s second or third-largest controllable expense. And just as business travel is closely linked to the U.S. economy, so is professional business travel management linked to the achievement of a company’s goals and objectives.

The authoritative voice of the business travel community is the National Business Travel Association, representing over 4,000 corporate travel managers and travel service providers who collectively manage and direct more than $200 billion of expenditures within the business travel industry, primarily for Fortune 1000 companies. Learn more about the NBTA customer and review the NBTA 2007 Corporate Travel Buyer Demographics.

NBTA is the source for critical information on the business travel industry. For more than 35 years, the association has dedicated itself to the professional development of its members and the advancement of the business travel management community through advocacy, education and training, and networking opportunities.
