Algonquin Careers Academy has been providing career training since 1981. Small classes of adults seeking to launch new careers are led by industry professionals who understand and believe in our students’ career choice.
To complement the classroom learning, Algonquin has established excellent working relationships with employers. These relationships enable students to obtain real life experience through non-paid co-op work placements. Through these co-op placement, students have the opportunity to apply the lessons they have learned in the classroom, gain confidence in their skills, and open doors to future employment.
At Algonquin Careers Academy they have a simple and helpful admissions process. Their goal is to adhere to provincial and national collegiate policies and to meet the needs of their students. Theirr admissions team provides potential students with the most relevant information related to your career training goals.
International Students
In order to be accepted into the Academy as an international student, you must meet the following requirements:
- Complete the online application form using the following Admissions Application link.
- Their programs are delivered in English so you must be able to demonstrate a proficiency in the English language
- Algonquin Careers Academy will arrange an on-line assessment test in computer fundamentals and English Comprehension to verify your eligibility.
- Once you have successfully passed the on-line assessment test, a registration fee deposit of $500 is required for all programs. This can be in the form of a money order, bank draft, certified cheque, Visa, or MasterCard. The tuition deposit is not extra, but is part of the tuition. Should the student be refused a Student Visa, the Academy will reimburse all but USD100 to cover administration costs.
- After passing the on-line assessment. Algonquin Careers Academy will issue a Letter of Acceptance to aid you in obtaining a Student Authorization/Visa.
- Tuition MUST be paid in full on or before the 1st day of class
