Finavia is a state owned commercial enterprise that offers its customers safe, internationally competitive airport and air navigation services.


There are 25 airports in the network maintained by Finavia.

They maintain Finland’s network of airports and the air navigation system. They provide and develop safe, competitive airport and air navigation services as well as their supporting commercial operations, to an internationally high standard. Their customers are suppliers to the air travel industry and air passengers. They are a commercial enterprise financed by their users, and they determine their operations, financing and investments independently. The Council of State sets the general operational and profit targets.

At the end of 2007 Finavia's airport network consisted of 25 airports and the organization employed about 2500 people.

Air traffic safety is the primary concern of their operations, on which they will not compromise. Safety is born of their professional skills, their ability to cooperate and their sense of responsibility.
