Vilnius International Airport

An independent company since 30 September 1991. The company occupies the area of 326 ha, and the length of the aerodrome perimeter is 10.54 km. The length of the runway is 2,515 m; width – 50 m; PCN83/F/D/X/T; Landing Category I, Siemens signal signal lights system. The airport is located on a plateau in the south of Vilnius. It is only 7 km, or 15 minutes drive by car from the centre of the capital.


Following the modernization of the departures hall, the terminal complies with the requirement to separate the passenger flows of Schengen and non-Schengen countries. The passenger throughput of the terminal increased, passenger service quality was improved and more stringent aviation security measures were implemented.

The new area of the renovated passenger terminal now reaches 37 462 sq.m. It is equipped with 6 passenger boarding bridges, modern passenger check-in equipment, travel value & duty free shops were opened as well as Business Lounge and VIP Lounge. Pay car parks are available in front of the passenger terminal.

14 Airlines operate scheduled flights from Vilnius Airport, 13 whereof carry passengers and 1 operates cargo flights. A few more local and foreign airlines operate charter flights.

The airport provides aviation and non-aviation services to national and foreign economic entities as well as natural persons. Aircraft operations at the airport are based on a published timetable, i.e. scheduled flights, and some are not based on a scheduled timetable, i.e. charter flights.

SE Vilnius International Airport is the member of the ACI (Airports Council International) Europe . The Republic of Lithuania is the member of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), therefore the SE Vilnius International Airport follows the requirements of the ICAO.
