The Oulu Airport is the Northern Finland’s gateway to the world. The airport has grown with the active technology centre and university town: in 2007, it was used by 840,000 business and holiday passengers. The airport has the second-largest passenger numbers in Finland.

Finnair and Blue1/SAS have regular traffic to Oulu. There are direct flights to Helsinki, Rovaniemi and Kemi-Tornio. Wingo and AirBaltic operate also from Oulu Airport.
