The stylish Jyväskylä Airport is located in the middle of the most beautiful parts of the Finnish Lake District. The airport was extended and refurbished in autumn 2004. In 2007 some 139,000 passengers passed through the terminal that is built using plenty of wood and glass surfaces.

Finnair and Finncomm Airlines operate at the Jyväskylä Airport. Vinka training by the Finnish Air Force is an additional feature of the airport.
