Hoxton Park Airport
Hoxton Park Airport is the smallest of the three metropolitan airports occupying 87 hectares, it is also the youngest being established in 1942 as a dispersal airfield. The airport is located 13km west of Bankstown and operates 24 hours with the same circuit training limitations as both Bankstown and Camden Airports.

Hoxton Park Airport is privately owned and is managed and operated by Bankstown Airport Limited. Hoxton Park Airport is held on a five (5) year lease which expires in October 2008. At the end of this lease, freehold title will transfer to the owner of the lease and they will determine the best use of the site, consistent with relevant State and Local Government planning laws.
The airport companies are commercial businesses who are maximising return on the assets of the airports, and operating the airports efficiently in their role as significant infrastructure assets. The management team is committed to:
- Develop a corporate profile to support the airports community, commercial and operational interests.
- Develop the excess capacity at Bankstown Airport in the areas of freight and Regular Passenger Traffic (RPT), within the regulatory and policy framework.
- Actively expand the property portfolio.
The airport companies will also operate as good corporate citizens with a commitment to community and environmental issues, and to the delivery of safe and uninterrupted operations at the airports.
The airport has one runway (16/34), of 1098mx30m, rated at 5.7 tonnes MTOW. Further details can be obtained in the Enroute Supplement published by Airservices Australia.
HPAL is committed to implementing and maintaining environmental management initiatives that promote sound environmental management policies and practices in all airport activities. These initiatives are clearly demonstrated in the HPAL Environment Strategy that was approved by the Commonwealth Minister for Transport and Regional Services in March 2000.
