Shanghai Airlines (hereinafter referred to as "SAL") was incorporated in 1985 and is China's first commercial airline of multidimensional investment. With 5 all-cargo freighters, it flies international and regional cargo routes such as from Shanghai to USA, Germany, Thailand, Japan, India, Vietnam and Hongkong etc.
SAL has achieved an outstanding safe operation performance. In 2004, it is prized with IOSA certificate issued by IATA, thus became the first airline winning such standardized award in China airline industry and even in the Northeast Asia.

SAL has been entitled with Shanghai Model Unit for six consecutive years.
