Qatar Airways is the flag carrier airline of Qatar, based in Doha. It operates a hub and spoke network, linking over 80 international destinations.

Qatar Airways have also plans to add two unnamed cities in Europe during 2009, believed to be Sofia, Bulgaria and Birmingham, UK. Entebbe may be started this year as well or in 2010. Qatar is also actively looking at launching a third daily flight to Colombo, Sri Lanka . In 2009, Qatar Airways plans to increase frequencies to a number of cities in plan with the airlines growth for the year, for example Qatar Airways offers (more) non-stop flights from Doha to Muscat, twice a day.
