They fly over six million customers each year to over 80 destinations worldwide from 26 UK airports. Their current fleet is made up of 32 aircraft: 7 x Airbus 320, 4 x Airbus 321, 19 x Boeing 757 and 2 x Boeing 767.
The airline was founded in 1987 as air2000 with the aim of delivering value for money while maintaining exceptional service and performance standards. They continue to set the standard for in-flight comfort, value and customer satisfaction.
Recently they picked up the 'Best Charter Airline' at the Travel Weekly Globe Awards 2007 and were voted 'Most Environmentally Responsible Airline' at the British Travel Awards. Also a massive 92% of their passengers who flew with them last year, said they'd recommend them to a close friend.
Always innovative, First Choice Airways was the first commercial airline to introduce hot meals, hot towels and newspapers on all flights, as well as the first to offer computerised in-flight information and entertainment.
Most recently they commissioned several Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, promising up to 20% less CO2 emissions and 60% noise reduction over their existing fleet. The new planes come into service in Spring 2009.
Along with First Choice charter flights they work with more than 80 tour operators and provide bespoke flights for clients ranging from Manchester United to HM government.
Through their cargo division, Viking Freight, they also carry over six million kilogrammes of freight per year worldwide, including race cars for Daytona Speedway events and lobsters to Tenerife.
