Established in 1987 Central Mountain Air (CMA) is a Western Canadian privately owned and operated company offering scheduled and charter flights to over 17 British Columbia and Alberta communities.
Presently, CMA employs over 300 people including administrative, maintenance and flight personnel maintaining bases in Smithers, Vancouver, and Calgary. CMA’s headquarters is located in Smithers B.C. with regional administrative, sales and marketing being conducted from their office in Calgary.
Central Mountain Air (CMA) and its partner airline, Northern Thunderbird Air (ntair) have provided charter services since 1987 to a wide range of customers throughout BC and Alberta. They provide service to a variety of customers, corporations, individuals, government agencies, oil & gas companies and contractors. They are committed to providing excellence in safety and customer service. Offering private boarding lounges in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Prince George.
CMA currently contracts four of their planes and flight crews to Air Canada/Jazz to fly designated Air Canada routes in Western Canada on the following routes: Vancouver - Penticton, Calgary - Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and Cranbrook to carry Air Canada passengers which Air Canada sells and markets directly.
Central Mountain Air in-conjunction with Air Canada offers Air Canada connecting customers the ability to make convenient same airport-terminal flight connections with Air Canada to regional, national and International destinations, which Air Canada sells and markets directly.
