Their aircraft fleet provide them the flexibility to offer both cargo and passenger services to a range of clientele from mining companies to corporate clients.
They have over 30 years experience flying into the various mountainous regions in the North. In addition, a number of their pilots have more than 10 years experience flying in the North.
All of their aircraft are maintained in-house by Transport Canada certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs). They take pride in their maintenance program and make every effort to be leaders in the industry.
Alkan Air currently employs approximately 25 pilots. Their low employee turnover means that their pilots have total flying times well above industry averages, but they have been expanding rapidly and they always welcome resume´s from pilots interested in making a move to Whitehorse. They fly in a very mountainous area into primarily gravel strips and they highly value experience in these conditions. Their emphasis on safety, their excellent fleet maintenance, and their competitive pay scale keep their crews loyal to the company.
