Air Europa, founded in 1986, Is the airline division of the Globalia Corporation. Since 1991 Air Europa has orientated its activity towards positioning itself as one of Europe's most modern airlines.


Its fleet comprises of 32 Next Generation Boeing aircrafts and a modern Airbus A340.

Air Europa's route network covers a large part of the Spanish territory, as well as destinations in Europe and the North of Africa, Transatlantic and Asia. Furthermore, Air Europa has signed code share agreements with Aeropostal, Air France, Portugalia, Alitalia, Continental Airlines, KLM, Malev, China Eastern and Tunisair.

At the end of 2006 the company had 37 aircraft, with which it transported over 9 million passengers. Operating income almost reached the 1000 million euro mark.
